We’ve had some big changes recently. We’ve moved our offices to a new location, plus we’ve changed our focus to working toward revenue, not ranking or traffic. Now, we may pay attention to these things on a case-by-case basis, but only if it’s used to achieve a revenue goal. Focusing on revenue leads you to look at a lot of different things rather than focusing on just one area. And that’s led us to look at some of the Google Ads AI products and the amazing results people are getting from them.
The latest one we tried on a client had results that just blew us out of the water, but taught us something, too.
This client usually had a 1-2% conversion rate, and had a difficult time raising that. We looked at some of these AI products that have produced 5-6% conversion rates. That’s fantastic, right? Five times the revenue! But there’s a catch. It turns out these products only work if your SEO is already on point.
It makes total sense. The AI is a robot that needs structure, logical tables, all that. I mean the Googlebot crawls your site, right? This AI bot has to crawl it in the same way. If the bot gets lost or can’t find what it’s looking for, your results are going to be horrible. But with a site that’s got the SEO in good shape, these products can have amazing results.
Brand, paid media, SEO and AI — they all come together to support each other in the name of great user experience. And that’s what you have to watch in order to increase your revenue.
