Launching a new brand? Don’t forget this PR tool

One of the most important things you can do when promoting your new brand is use structured data to help Google understand the relationship between searches and your web pages.

This is especially important now in light of the fact that Google rolled out a new algorithm change just last week.

Google has said that this change is about rewarding sites that were undervalued. So, if you’ve got great content, that’s good news for you!

I was recently working with someone who wanted to launch a new brand. Now, he was ranking well for the exact match domain he was looking for, but one of the things he missed that could have improved his rankings was structured data.

If you’re building a business and building a brand, you need to use structured data.

Structured data tells the world who you are and what you’re doing.

Structured data attached to my website, for example, says that the page is about me. This is why we think rankings began to rise when search numbers for my name started to do the same thing.

You can go to the Structured Data Testing Tool and put in your URL, and it will tell you what structured data is on your page.

When you look at mine, you’ll see my Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook links, among other things. It’s all about me. So, when Google search volume begins to increase on my name, the rankings on my site will go up too.

So when you’re marketing your site, especially when it’s a new brand, use structured data to help Google to connect between various searches and your site. When they’re all tied together, they all help to raise your ranking with Google.
