Facebook will debut its long-awaited iPad app at Apple’s October 4 event for the iPhone 5, according to a new report from Mashable.
The rumour comes after a former Facebook employee wrote on his blog that the app has been finished for months, but the company has opted not to release it until now.
Sources have informed Mashable that the release of the app has been complicated due to discussions with Apple. Both companies were reportedly talking about integrating Facebook within iOS 5, but discussions broke down and Twitter was chosen instead.
The report also indicates that Facebook will be debuting a new version of its iPhone app at the event next month.
