An upgraded version of the iPad 2 will be released later this year but it will not be a brand new model, one analyst has claimed.
According to Boy Genius Report, FBR Capital Markets analyst Craig Berger has said the iPad 2 Plus will come later this year and will feature an upgraded screen.
In a note to investors, Berger has said the screen will upgrade the pixel density from the current iPad to between 250-300 pixels per inch.
This forecast falls into line with previous reports that Apple would upgrade its iPad with a better screen this year, along with a launch for a new version of the iPhone.
