The British website of cosmetics company Lush has been attacked by hackers, with the chain saying it will have to completely revamp the website.
According to a statement posted online, the attempt has affected customers with online purchases made between October 4 and January 20 2011 – with the company asking all customers who purchased in that time period to contact their banks.
“Our website has been the victim of hackers,” the statement said. “24 hour security monitoring has shown us that we are still being targeted and there are continuing attempts to re-enter.”
“We refuse to put our customers at risk of another entry – so have decided to completely retire this version of our website.”
