A US website that allows users of medicinal marijuana to compare reviews and see the “menus” of Californian marijuana dispensaries has revealed its revenue has now topped $US400,000 a month as it heads towards a backdoor listing.
The website, called Weedmaps.com, has 50,000 registered users and makes money by charging the dispensaries to post their menus.
The company announced in early September that it would merge with a little known company called LC Luxuries Limited to create a company that will specialise in all things marijuana.
The listing comes as Californian citizens prepare to vote on a proposition to legalise the drug.
Not surprisingly, the founder of the site, Justin Hartfield, is throwing the weight of his company behind the measure.
“We want to make buying a share in this company like buying a share in the legalisation of marijuana cause,” he says.
