Software group Mozilla has launched Firefox 4 for mobile in beta form, improving several features for the popular browser on the Android operating system.
The company’s new beta will include some new features such as the Awesome Bar and Sync, which allows users to sync their tabs and bookmarks between devices.
One of the biggest changes is called Electroysis, which allows the browser to run as a separate process from the part of the smartphone powering the actual web content. Another change, called “layers”, improves how the browser handles graphics and touch-screen contact.
The beta version is just for testing, the company says, and should only be used by those people are interested in using it to provide feedback for the company.
