Software giant Microsoft has launched a new battery technology that can be installed without regard for identifying the negative and positive poles.
In a statement, the company said its InstaLoad technology “allows users to easily install a battery without regard to positive and negativity polarity”.
“Never again will people have to squint to see battery diagrams – the device simply works regardless if the battery is installed positive-side-up or positive-side-down,” the company said.
The technology apparently works by using contacts that do not identify whether they are connected to positive or negative poles. The company said the technology can be used in a variety of size, including AA, AAA, C and D, while Duracell has apparently backed the innovation.
