Internet giant Google has updated its Calendar application in order to introduce a new experimental rescheduling feature.
The new feature, titled Smart Rescheduling, allows event creators to pick separate times for meetings based on the shared schedules of participants – resulting in the optimum meeting time for everybody involved.
The requirement is that Google Calendar members share their calendars with event creators, which is perfect for workers in the same office or those who get together regularly.
“This process is 100% automated — no Google employees are doing any work behind the scenes. You can refine the results by marking people as optional, changing the meeting duration, ignoring certain conflicts, or specifying the earliest and latest times you’ll accept. The results will immediately update to reflect your new requirements,” the company said.
Currently the item will be available in Google Calendar Labs, meaning users will have to move it onto their options menu manually.
