Internet giant Google is reportedly investigating its employees to determine if they had any part in the recent cyber-attacks launched at the group and 20 other companies.
As reported in Reuters, two sources have said the attack may have been facilitated by employees within the Google China office.
“We’re not commenting on rumour and speculation. This is an ongoing investigation, and we simply cannot comment on the details,” a Google spokeswoman said. Last week Google said it would possibly cancel its operations in China due to the attacks.
It is currently speaking with the Chinese Government about stepping out of the country. “We are going to have talks with them in the coming few days,” the company said in a statement.
