Small caps have delivered their best-ever year, making it their fourth year in a row of double digit earnings growth of around 15%.
Even though market volatility gave the sector the heebie-jeebies mid year, investors stayed in – with the best results coming from retailers, the financial planning companies and mining services companies.
Electrical retailer JB Hi-Fi reported a tremendous result, with a 57% increase in net profit to $40.4 million. Here is The Australian Financial Review’s list of the best and the worst performers.
