Streaming music service Pandora has recorded more than 150 million users, the company announced yesterday.
The service, which floated on the New York Stock Exchange last year, is increasingly competing against new streaming services such as Spotify.
Pandora announced about 52 million of its users are active, and that last month they streamed over one billion hours of music, up by 87% from the same time last year.
Chief executive Joe Kennedy said at a conference this week that 70% of music streamed to users was listened to on mobile devices.
Much like other streaming services such as Spotify, Pandora’s services are not yet available in Australia.
