Patrick Grove is one of Australia’s leading internet entrepreneurs. The chief executive and chairman of investment company Catcha Group, which holds over 60 investments, Grove also operates iCar Asia.
Grove’s regular travels mean he has to be quick in getting from one place to the next – his favourite piece of tech allows him to do just that.
“I use the car rental service Uber. They work with hire car companies that have downtime. We ended up getting a really nice car to the airport with a driver for literally almost the same price as catching a taxi.”
“You plug in your credit card details, and it’s all processed automatically. It’s done completely through the smartphone app, and I get a receipt, forward it on to my secretary. I don’t even need to swipe my card in the car. It’s all billed instantly – it’s great.”
