There’s nothing worse than putting your laptop in your bag and arriving at an off-site work destination, only to find that your battery is flat and there is no-where to plug it in.
US company Voltaic Systems has come up with a handy solution to the problem – a laptop bag with a built-in solar panel you can use to charge your laptop.
The “Generator” bag uses a single solar panel to produce 14.7 watts of energy, enough to fully charge your average laptop from a day of direct sunlight. The bag also has a built-in battery that can store a full laptop charge, which you can connect straight into your laptop when required.
And the bag’s material is made from recycled PET plastic bottles, so it is both tough and environmentally friendly.
As laptop bags go, however, the Generator is more than a little expensive at $US599.
