Accounting software company Quicken has launched a fun new service for companies who want an advertising jingle but can’t afford a high-priced songwriter.
The Jingle Generator allows companies to go online, enter their business name and a few other bits of information, choose one of 20 small business types (such as accounting, retail, pet, tech, blogging) and with the click of mouse, you get a jingle created.
OK, you’ll get a jingle to the tune of the 1980s rock song “Your Love” by The Outfield with your company’s name added in a digital voice, but you get the point.
The whole presentation is hosted by a legendary – but fictional – record producer called Tommy Silk, who even has his own Twitter site.
The viral marketing campaign should provide a bit of fun in the otherwise stuffy world of accounting software.
