A number of web heavyweights, including Apple, Adobe, Google, HP and Microsoft, have set aside their well-documented differences to launch a joint resource for web developers.
The Webplatform.org website, convened by the W3C standards body, aims to be a “definitive resource” for open web standards including HTML5, CSS3, WebGL and SVG.
The website will initially feature contributions from the member companies, released under the Creative Commons licence, with additional contributions expected from users of the site.
