Apple chief Tim Cook to appear in first public speaking role

Apple chief executive Tim Cook is set to appear in his first public interview as the company’s chief executive.

The Wall Street Journal has confirmed Cook will be the opening night speaker for the D10 Conference, hosted by the publication’s All Things Digital division.

The appearance is set to take place on May 29.

Cook has made some appearances before this, He appeared at a Goldman Sachs conference, but the All Things Digital conference will be the chief executive’s first apperance available to the wider public.

Apple founder Steve Jobs famously spoke with Microsoft founder Bill Gates in an appearance at the conference in 2007.
