A personal assistant for nix

Move over Web 2.0, your successor Web 3.0 is here. Start-up search engines have harnessed a technology that could transform the way websites work: the semantic web.

Simply, the semantic web is where information is stored in a machine-readable format.

Websites which use this technology, such as Twine, can differentiate between such things as people, places and companies, making it easy for them to organise this information in helpful way.

So rather than having your emails, web pages and social website contacts hanging around willy-nilly on your PC at different web addresses, this service groups words and names together, allowing it to file each automatically. Rather like your own PA, in machine form.
