Dropbox founder Drew Houston has discussed how he turned down takeover offers from both Apple and Google, based on hopes his company will become “the next Apple or Google”.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times Houston has confirmed speculation that he personally declined a takeover offer from Steve Jobs at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters in December 2009, along with a similar offer from Google’s Sergey Brin.
During the interview, Houston also states that his company has already reached profitability.
