Apple is preparing to release a new iPad model in March, according to a new report from DigiTimes.
That report from production sources also comes just a few days after a separate report from DigiTimes stated Apple is preparing to give its whole production line-up an overhaul.
The new report states Apple is preparing to upgrade the iPad 2 with no internal components, but that this will be separate to the iPad 3, which will be launched later in the year.
The report states the new iPad will feature a thinner body, and better battery life. However, Apple has not confirmed any new iPad line-up so far and it would be unusual for the company to release two versions of the same device in a single year.
