MY BEST TECH: Michael Fox

Michael Fox is the founder of Shoes of Prey, the online shoe eCommerce site that has skyrocketed in popularity over the past two years.

Fox says his favourite piece of tech is an app that works alongside his Apple TV and iPad, allowing him to stream video that he might not be able to watch straight away.

“It’s actually a combination of two different things. I have my Apple TV plugged into my television, and then I use my iPad to screen things off the device onto my TV. It’s especially useful for things like the ABC iView app, you can just stream it straight through.”

“But the one I really like is my Boxee app. I often find that during the day, I’ll get links to videos that I can’t watch, usually because they’re 10 or 20 minutes long.”

“So the Boxee app allows me to send the link to the app, compiles all of them, and then makes them easier to watch later. So I just bring up the Boxee app, stream it to the Apple TV, and then watch all the videos while I’m on the couch.”
