The new Windows 8 operating system will help give the PC industry a boost, Acer chairman and chief executive JT Wang has said, according to a new report from DigiTimes.
The chief says that Windows 8 will help slowing PC sales, and says Microsoft is adding features that users want as opposed to “unnecessary functions”.
Wang also said Windows 8 will help both Microsoft and the PC industries in Taiwan and across the globe.
Windows 8 has already been previewed by Microsoft, with many manufacturers already pledging devices. Earlier this week HP hinted that it will launch some Windows 8 powered tablets late next year.
