A new report from DigiTimes has claimed vendors in the PC and tablet sectors are concerned Android 4.0 is still not powerful enough to compete with the iPad.
Google launched Android 4.0, nicknamed Ice Cream Sandwich, earlier this week at a press event in Hong Kong.
The report claims vendors believe that Google is falling behind, with Apple expected to launch an iPad 3 next year. They also say Google hasn’t been giving its partners enough support.
PC vendors have reportedly told the publication they are concerned Google will begin prioritising either smartphones and tablets, and resources will be split between the two of them.
At the same time, Microsoft is preparing its Windows 8 software, with some tablets expected in the second half of 2012.
