Video streaming website Hulu has called off its sale process despite a number of bids from companies including Google and Amazon.
In a statement issued late last week, the company said “Our focus now rests solely on ensuring that our efforts as owners contribute in a meaningful way to the exciting future that lies ahead for Hulu”.
The move comes after separate reports indicated that the bidding process was being affected by arguments over rights and the value of the business itself.
Hulu’s owners, which include NBC and News Corp, have attempted to sell the company before. But last year they reportedly avoided an initial public offering in favour of the more recent sale process.
