Apple is set to reveal its iPhone 5 on October 4, according to a new report from All Things Digital, while sources have also disclosed that the new iPhone will go on sale a few weeks after the conference.
Apple board member and former US Vice President Al Gore also let slip in a leadership conference in South Africa that “new iPhones” will be coming out next month.
However, it is still unknown whether Apple will be releasing two phones, or just one, with many predicting an upgraded iPhone 4 model with a cheaper price.
Whatever the product, it will be a big occasion for new Apple chief executive Tim Cook, who must prove in his first iconic product introduction that Steve Jobs’ departure does not spell the end for Apple.
