The first ever Windows 8 tablet has hit eBay, with buy-it-now prices of $3,500. The Samsung Windows 8 Developer PC was given out by Microsoft to 5,000 app developers, some who have taken the liberty of cashing in on Microsoft’s kindness.
The device, which is unlikely to ever go on sale, was given out to developers to help them create apps for the new Windows 8 OS ahead of next year’s launch.
Although Microsoft is yet to comment, it is believed they will move for eBay to shut down the auctions before all, or any, are bought.
Windows 8 has been released in a developer’s preview build, but may not be available for consumers until at least late 2012.
