iPhone App of the Week: PlainText

The iPhone has a pretty good note taking app, but that hasn’t stopped plenty of developers trying to make their own.

Some are quite forgettable, but PlainText actually manages to create something simple combined with real functionality.

PlainText is essentially that – a simple note taking app. But it syncs with DropBox to ensure that all of your notes are able to be read when you’re on a desktop, and any other app that allows access to DropBox.

Apps can sync automatically, or manually as well if you choose. You can also place your notes into folders.

This is a simple app but if you find yourself taking notes a lot, this may be a better option than the default. Both the iPhone and iPad versions are free.
