Apple is preparing to release the final version of the iOS 5 beta software ahead of the launch of the iPhone 5, which is reportedly set for next month.
According to Boy Genius Report, Apple will release a Gold Master of iOS 5 beta around September 23, which will then be loaded into the unreleased iPhone 5 models.
It is understood that if the software is accepted that carriers deliver that version to customers.
That rumour comes as the company is expected to launch a new iPhone next month, along with other product updates. While an iPad model was expected to be announced, it has been reported that has been pushed back until next year.
