Apple is planning to release a cheaper version of the iPhone 4 this year, a new Reuters report has speculated.
The rumour comes as the tech giant also prepares to launch an iPhone 5 this year, the publication states, which will feature a bigger screen and an eight megapixel camera, but otherwise will remain similar to the current model. It will also feature an improved antenna.
The report claims that Apple is prepared to reduce its margins in order to gain new customers who may not yet own a smartphone.
According to the report, the new 8GB iPhone 4 is being manufactured with a flash drive from Korea. The report claims the new device is set to launch within weeks.
