Manufacturer Pegatron has been awarded the contract to build the new iPad 3 to be released this year, according to a new report from Taiwan Economic News.
The report states that Pegatron bid for the project, underbidding previous manufacturer FoxConn which is currently making the iPad 2.
The company has also reportedly won the contract to build the iPhone 5, which is also set to be introduced this year.
The report claims that Apple is changing some of its manufacturing procedures and that it is changing a few of its suppliers.
