HP considering Windows 8 tablets

Computer manufacturer HP is considering a wave of new tablets based on Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8 software.

According to comments from chief technology officer Phil McKinney recently published in Fast Company, he stated that “I’m limited to what I can talk about with Windows 8”.

“We’re working very closely with [Microsoft], and I’m going to leave it at that or I’m going to start getting myself into trouble.”

The hint comes as HP has just released its new TouchPad tablet in the United States, based on the WebOS software it acquired during the Palm buyout last year.
