According to a new report from Bloomberg computer manufacturer HP is working on NFC-enabled smartphones.
The report claims HP hopes its users will utilise its gadgets to make payments using financial apps, much like the Google Wallet that was debuted recently.
The report also claims that HP wants to create a new type of platform where users will be able to receive coupons and benefits from advertisements that will work in sync with NFC technology.
The new devices are rumoured to be launching before the end of the year, but no official release date has been announced.
