Window’s new operating system could contain an app store, simply titled Windows App Store, according to screen shots from Chinese site cnBeta.
Engadget says there’s talk the new store has passed internal tests and will soon go beta.
The article follows a stoush between Microsoft and Apple over the latter’s trademark application for the term ‘app store’.
Microsoft argues the terms is a broad one and cannot be owned by one company, while Apple is extremely protective of what it sees as a brand is has created and built.
