A majority of American SMEs have said they intend to spend more money investing in cloud-based software in 2011.
A survey conducted by Egnyte found that 74% of SMEs intend to spend more. Over 51% will put more money in their budgets for cloud software, the survey found.
Egnyte, which is a seller of storage and backup software, hired Zoomerang to conduct the survey of 125 resellers.
Several more businesses are similarly uncertain about their plans – 44% of respondents said “I don’t know” when asked about spending more money on collaboration software, and 6% gave a “no” answer.
