New MacBook release coming, rumours report

Various reports have hinted that new Apple MacBook Pro laptops could be released this week, which include a number of technical changes.

According to Boy Genius Report, Apple stores will start receiving the new laptops “in the coming days”.

The new devices are said to include glass track-pads that are larger than the current versions. Another large update will be that the operating system will be stored on a separate solid state hard drive, while other files will remain on a separate drive.

This will ensure the operating system runs faster, and should allow for quicker load times.

The source also said the models will be about half a pound lighter than the current models.

The rumours come as electronics chain Best Buy accidentally leaked five SKUs that refer to the new MacBook models.
