Apple is set to announce the release date for the second version of the iPad, according to new reports that sprung up over the weekend.
MacNotes.de has reported that Apple will unveil the new gadget as soon as next week, according to rumours from an accessory manufacturer.
A separate report from Mactakara.jp has said that the tech giant will be using a smaller type of event to launch the gadget, to be held on February 17. A release date has also been set for March, according to the publication.
These rumours seem to confirm earlier reports that Apple would launch the new iPad in February along with the iOS 4.3 operating system.
However, these reports are often inaccurate. But with the abundance of iPad rumours flooding the tech world, along with a new report that Apple has patented a styles for the iPad, it’s obvious that Apple is planning the next iteration of the tablet.
