It’s not unusual that a game would make its way into the top 10 of the App Store, as Bubble Ball did this week, taking Angry Birds off its long-held position – but it’s not every day that a 14-year-old does it.
Robert Nay, a 14-year old from Utah in the United States has managed to land the top spot on the App Store with his puzzle game Bubble Ball, which has now been downloaded more than two million times.
The game itself uses puzzles and strategy to have the user move a floating bubble from one end of a map to the next.
Nay is self-taught, creating the app after being prompted by school friends. He has a reputation for being a tech guru, creating websites and often helping teachers with computer issues.
So far, Nay hasn’t earned any revenue given the app is free, but he says his next creation will be something users have to pay for.
Bubble Ball is available now on the App Store.
