New rumours regarding the updated iPad are now surfacing, with new reports suggesting the gadget will feature a 2048×1536 display along with an SD card slot.
MacRumors is reporting the gadget will feature a high resolution display of 2048×1536, after finding pixel-doubled images in some existing Apple iOS apps, double the resolution of existing icons. They are also named iPad2, according to the report.
This accompanies reports from other publications claiming the device will feature a type of high-resolution display, similar to the upgrade from the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4.
Meanwhile, Engadget has reported the new iPad will feature an SD slot, which will allow users to plugin cards with their own photos instead of connecting through a separate camera kit.
Engadget has also reported the iPad will feature a GSM/CDMA chipset manufacturer by Qualcomm.
