Retail giant Amazon has said that it will launch free Kindle apps for tablet devices running the Android and Windows 7 operating system.
These apps will perform like other Kindle programs, allowing users to both purchase and read books on their specific devices.
The apps will also allow users to sync their libraries with other devices including desktops and smartphones.
Amazon has yet to reveal any launch information about the apps.
