A new survey from market research firm GfK has shown that Apple users are the most loyal out of all smartphone owners.
The survey shows that 44% of respondents claim to be loyal to the iOS software, and of those who intend to remain loyal, the iPhone took 59% of those respondents.
The BlackBerry OS took the second highest number of respondents at 35%, while 28% of respondents said they would remain loyal to Android. Symbian followed with 24%, while Windows Phone users only made up 21%.
“Loyalty with a handset is a lot more complicated these days in that people buy into experiences at the high-end level,” lead analyst Ryan Garner told Reuters. “If a phone doesn’t do what it says it will do or what the owner hopes it will do, the maker will lose loyalty.”
