A thief who stole a laptop from a Swedish professor has returned the contents of the entire device on a USB stick.
As reported by the Swedish publication, Vasterbottens-Kuriren, the professor said he was left devastated by the theft of the device. He said a substantial amount of his work was on it and he did not often backup data.
He said he left the laptop behind the stairwell in his apartment block for a moment, and then when he went back, it had gone. “The calendar is extremely important. It is my life. Here I have documented the last 10 years and beyond,” he said.
However, he was relieved when the thief returned the entire content of the laptop on a USB stick. It contained all documents and files, including the calendar.
