Tech giant Apple has announced an event for its Mac products to go ahead on October 20, which analysts say could include an update to the MacBook Air and other MacBook Pro gadgets.
The “Back to the Mac” invitation has been sent out to tech press, with the company putting a large emphasis on an update to the Mac OS X software.
However, apart from that, the company isn’t releasing any details. Analysts have said the updates will likely affect the MacBook Air, which will be given an 11-inch display, while MacBook Pro laptops could be given new processors and hard drives.
The announcement sent Apple’s stock to a new high, over $US300. The invitation also comes as new figures from Gartner allege Apple now has a 10% share of the computer market in the US.
