Electronics manufacturer Sony has unveiled a suite of Google TV sets, all designed to run on the Android operating system.
However, Sony has said it currently has no information on when the television sets will be available in Australia. Google has previously said the Google TV software will be made available internationally during 2011.
Sony’s LCD screens will range from 24-46 inches and will sell for between $US600-1400, and will be available for US customers as soon as Saturday.
The software will allow users to navigate websites and download apps. The searching software will also allow users to search through internet and television guides and can program and search through DVRs.
