The software developers behind the popular Angry Birds iPhone App have attacked software giant Microsoft for allegedly using the company’s game for marketing, without permission.
In materials used to promote the new Windows 7 Mobile platform, Microsoft allegedly used an icon for the Angry Birds game, according to Engadget.
But the developers, Rovio Mobile, said on Twitter that it is “not committed” to bringing the game to Windows.
But Microsoft quickly amended the situation, sending a statement to TechFlash that, “It appears information was mistakenly posted to Microsoft’s website, and has been removed”.
