Former Miss World Australia Caroline Pemberton has released an iPhone app, teaching girls how to date and rate men.
The $2.69 app called “I’m Dating”, has dating tips for teenage girls including what to wear and where, conversation starters, pre-date checklists and dating etiquette 101.
It also has compatibility calculators, a section decoding men’s body language, one translating men’s phrases and how they think and a quiz to help girls work out “Is he into me?”
Girls can also rate men on different criteria including intelligence, personality, reliability, chemistry and appearance and create profiles of the men they’re dating and compare them.
Many people have accused Pemberton of promoting a shallow and materialistic view of dating and men but she says it’s meant to be “entertaining and a bit of fun and taken with a pinch of salt”.
Pemberton’s next app for women will offer basic self-defence techniques.
