Online catalogue aggregator Lasoo will launch an application for the iPad, banking on the success and popularity of its iPhone app.
The company, owned and operated by digital marketing firm Salmat, works by digitising catalogues and providing the information in a search engine. Users search for a particular product, and Lasoo finds if that product is on sale and provides directions to the nearest location.
The company says its iPhone app has enabled users to look out for sales on the move, and suggests an iPad app could deliver a solution for searching for products while moving around in the home.
“The Lasoo.com.au iPad app will make the device even more invaluable for the market-savvy shoppers who download it and the retail marketing community,” Lasoo head Paul Marshall said in a statement.
The app will digitise catalogues provided from several large retailers, including Target, Big W, Coles, Myer, IKEA and Officeworks.
