Mozilla, the creator of popular browsing software Firefox, has announced the release candidate for version 3.6 of the program is available for download.
The update was meant for release late last year, but last month the company updated its release dates. The next version of the software, 4.0, is now due for release late this year or early 2011.
The 3.6 version allows users to change the appearance of Firefox with the addition of personas, along with advanced JavaScript performance, automatic detection of outdated plug-ins and support for location-aware browsing.
Additionally, the new release candidate no longer loads third-party components installed in its internal components directory, which the company promises will help security features. IT also features a number of additions for web developers.
