Microsoft introduces 3-user upgrade deal for Windows 7

Software giant Microsoft has introduced a new deal in order to reduce the cost of buying its latest operating system, Windows 7.

The company has introduced a “family pack” upgrade version, which costs $249 for three separate Windows 7 installation licenses – the Windows 7 system by itself costs $199.

This means that each license by itself costs $84.

Jett Putt, the “Windows Consumer Lead” for Microsoft Australia, told ITwire.com.au that the company had listened to the feedback from customers regarding high price points.

“Windows 7 makes it easier for people to do the things they want on their PC, so we’re excited to make it even easier for our customers to upgrade their PC’s at home to Windows 7 by providing this fantastic offer.”

For users who have already purchased more than three licenses, Putt said the company will be offering a free wireless comfort desktop set, including a keyboard and mouse.
