Tech giant Apple has confirmed a press event will be held next Wednesday, 9 September, with the company set to make its annual keynote speech in San Francisco.
The event is suspected to be used to announce new iPod models, including a new iPod Touch model with a camera, after months of rumours.
While the September keynote speech was also rumoured to see the announcement of a new tablet device, sources have told AppleInsider that next week’s event will only be used for iPod announcements.
The tablet device is expected in the first quarter of 2010.
But the ninth version of iTunes is also expected to be announced, with new features including app organisation and social networking integration expected as part of the update.
