Employers have barely two weeks to prepare for the sunsetting of 'zombie' workplace agreements on December 7, the Fair Work Commission says, in a last-minute warning to workplaces still using agreements struck before 2010.

Businesses whose employees are covered by pre-2010 workplace agreements have just two weeks to inform their staff those pay deals will expire at the end of the year.

Businesses reliant on more than 100,000 zombie agreements have been put on notice by the Fair Work Commission (FWC), thanks to a massive spreadsheet of employers whose ageing workplace agreements will automatically dissolve at the end of 2023.
